Information for Families Applying for Financial Aid/MLS Scholarship for the 2021-2022 School Year
Thank you for your interest in financial aid/MLS Scholarship program.  We will communicate award decisions in May 2021.  To be eligible for consideration for financial aid/scholarship
you must complete the following process:
  1. Adjust your budget to make Christian education a priority.
  2. Be currently enrolled at Mauna Loa School.
  3. Sign a Financial Agreement with FACTS (tuition program).
  4. Complete scholarship applications to all other scholarship programs for which you are eligible.
  5. Complete your financial aid application through Tuition Aid Data Services (TADS). Submit required documents to TADS. 

Tuition Aid Data Services (TADS) 

We are now using Tuition Aid Data Services (TADS) to process financial aid applications. Based on the financial information you provide, TADS gives us an estimated amount your family can contribute to educational expenses. This estimate is a starting point to help us make fair and objective financial aid decisions. To begin your financial aid application for the 2021-2022 school year, please follow these steps below. (You only have to complete one Financial Aid Application, even if you have several children applying.) 

TO COMPLETE THE FINANCIAL AID APPLICATION ONLINE

  1. Click on the link below or go to mytads.com.
  2. Click on the "Financial Aid Assessment" link.
  3. Click "Create New Account", if you do not have an account yet.
  4. If you completed an online application last year, use your e-mail address and existing password. If you have forgotten your password, click on “Forgot my password.”
  5. Submit and pay for the application.  This fee is nonrefundable.
If you already completed a TADS application for another school you do not need to submit another. Just go back into TADS and add Mauna Loa School into the application.

    Hawai'i Conference/Pacific Union Conference Scholarship (For children of constituent church members) top

    Applications for Hawai'i Conference/Pacific Union Conference scholarships are available on the Conference website. Click on the link Hawaii Conference Multi Scholarship Application
    • Everything is done electronically (strictly online application)
    • No letters to be written and submitted (send requests for recommendations)
    • There is a firm deadline for parents of March 31, 2021

    Hilo Church Assistance
    Application for Hilo Church members.
    • Important Note: Assistance for Hilo Church families will either be awarded from the church or MLS but not from both.
    • Please print, fill out, and return the Church Tuition Assitance application to the MLS Office.
